10 Best Light Timer

Easy to set, especially if you’ve used this type of device before. If not, set it using these simple steps:
1) Pull ALL the pins around the dial to the UP position. (The timer comes with all the pins down).
2) Turn the dial until the arrow points to the CURRENT time, noting the black half for pm and the white half for am. (Since it’s not digital, you’re not going to get it to the exact minute. No biggie.)
3) Next, push the pins DOWN to indicate the times you want the power ON.
4) Finally, plug in your device, plug the timer into an outlet, and you’re ready to go! (Check the switch on the side to make sure it’s not in the “always on” position.)

If want to test it, just plug it into a lamp, push ONE pin down that’s close to the current time and wait. You will see the dial turn, and when it reaches that one pin, your light should come on. When it passes that pin, the light should go off. Now you know it’s working. (Don’t forget to pull the test pin back up.)

Both of mine work like a charm. They’re VERY quiet, unlike other timers I’ve had that grated the nerves with a relentless grinding sound. Overall, this is a great deal if you need a pair of dependable, inexpensive, no-frills timers. I use them to turn the lights on and off in different rooms when I’m out of the house at night. Don’t know if it deters burglars, but it makes me feel better, and you can’t put a price on peace of mind.

These are perfect for controlling the lights on both of my aquariums. Simple to setup. Set the dial to the current time, plug it in, pull the tabs out to indicate the times you want the light off/leave then down for the times when you want the light on.It has two outlets so you can control two appliances.They are a little bigger than the palm of an average adult’s hand. Great price for what they do. Like I said, I bought them for my aquariums to control the amount of light my fish and plants were getting. I would buy these again

I originally bought a digital one just because well i wanted a digital one. LET ME TELL YOU! the digital one was a pain to set up and if the power went out so did the timer! that being said there is nothing like old fashioned. these things work great super simple to set up and very cost effective. if you are using them for lights for peppers or potted plants or whatever they will get the job done and you will have no problems what so ever!!!
