I bought the D4-300 to move my music storage from my NAS to directly attached to my NUC which runs Roon (see […]).
Install was physically easy with 4 x 6TB drives that I had. I selected JBOD and reformatted using the basic instructions. Initialised using standard Windows disk manager actions. Job done.
Transfer rates seemed pretty good at about 100MB/s using the cable provided (USB-C to USB3.0). That is quicker than my NAS and I saw 15TB done in about 1.5 days (didn’t keep a close eye for exact time and speeds)
As other reviews note the unit doesn’t power down but that is OK for me as the music system is always on here.
